Bring your CHA onto a job

Assign your customs house agent and hand off their steps.

Get your CHA working a job

  1. 1

Find your CHA, if you don't already have one

Search the global Customs House Agent directory by city, customs house, or company name. It's a public reference lookup — you can copy an agent's email or phone straight from their card.
  2. 2

Invite them as a connected partner

From Partner Connections, invite them by email (company name optional). The connection stays "Pending" until they accept — or, if they had already requested to connect with you, inviting them back activates it immediately with no email sent.
  3. 3

Assign them the CHA role on your job

On the job's Role Planning Board, find the "Customs House Agent" role card and choose Assign Partner. Only your active connections appear in the picker — a pending invite won't show up yet. (Import jobs use the separate "Customs House Agent (Destination)" role.)
  4. 4

They work their steps from the partner portal

Once assigned, your CHA logs into their own partner portal and sees only the jobs and checklist steps assigned to them. They can upload documents against their own steps and mark them complete — everything else on the job stays out of view.

A connection and a role assignment are two different things

Connecting with a partner (inviting, accepting) makes them reusable across your jobs. Assigning a role is what actually puts them to work on one specific job. You only need to connect once; you'll assign the role every time you need them on a new job.

Partners can't touch everything

A partner can act on the steps assigned to them and add extra optional steps if useful, but mandatory, platform-locked steps stay owned by your team — a partner can never remove or reassign those.
